Our Hospitals

Northern California Neurosurgery uses one local hospital and one local surgery center.  Both are small, private facilities which offer good, individualized patient care.  We use the ValleyCare medical center in Pleasanton for major procedures (cervical surgery, major lumbar surgery, etc.) and the TriValley surgery center for minor procedures (blocks, outpatient disc surgery, carpal tunnel surgery, etc.).  You can click the following links for information on the ValleyCare Medical Center and the Pleasanton Surgery Center.

University medical centers, such as Stanford and UCSF, are unparalleled in their ability to care for rare diseases and perform unusual surgeries.  For more common problems, such as neck or back pain, patients get better care at smaller hospitals.  At the University Hospitals, common problems are treated by the interns.  Fully trained attending doctors provide all of the care at the private hospitals.
