Our Hospitals
Northern California Neurosurgery uses two local hospitals and two local
surgery centers. All are small, private facilities which offer outstanding,
individualized patient care. We use the ValleyCare medical center in Pleasanton
and Saint Rose Hospital in Hayward for major procedures (cervical surgery, major
lumbar surgery, etc.). We use the Pleasanton surgery and Fremont Surgery Center
for minor procedures (blocks, outpatient disc surgery, carpal tunnel surgery,

University medical centers, such as Stanford and UCSF, are unparalleled in
their ability to care for rare diseases and perform unusual surgeries. For more
common problems, such as neck or back pain, patients get better care at smaller
hospitals. At the University Hospitals, common problems are treated by the
interns. Fully trained attending doctors provide all of the care at the private
hospitals.
